thanks for the opinion seninha.. Do you have a 9 or 10 inch monitor on your home pc? Or maybe even your laptop that you sit right in front of? No hu? too small.... Yea im a computer nerd, not a car nerd... I think most of us are computer nerds thats why we dont just install GPS, or a DVD player. I want a COMPUTER in my car that i can use while i drive, or so my passengers can surf the net, not a little gps, or mp3 player stuck in my dash. Plus im getting old man, don't want my eyes to go bad!

Thanks for all the emails everyone as well and the good and bad comments!

That screen would get you a ticket right quick in my neck of the woods!

    Very nice otherwise.

    Thanks.

But for my information, could someone answer my previous question.

I think it's a little different than that. Remember, this is a car. You have to worry about safety, practicality, etc, etc. This isn't a computer that you're going to use for normal computing tasks; it's just for GPS, wifi, music, etc. You don't need a huge screen for that. Plus, how do you see around it? That can't be too safe when trying to switch lanes to the right. You might even be ticketed for 'obstruction of view' or something like that. Plus, isn't it just sooo much easier (not to mention safer) to tap the screen to control it, instead of having to line a cursor up with what you want to click on while driving? I would really think more about the practicality than the functionality/comfort in this case, considering this can be an issue of life or death if you can't see what you need to see.

I really like how you integrated the touchpad in, though.

I got what your saying for sure.. Except i do want it for normal computing tasks, not just a gps or mp3 player, i could have bought a GPS and an indash mp3/dvd player, and installed them to my existing setup. When im stuck on the freeway i play online pool, I burn disks, rip disks, VPN into my work, I do everything that i would at home, that is the main reason i wanted a large screen. I use a bluetooth headset to surf via voice (easier to read a webpage on a 15" screen while driving) If you see the video i included it does not block my vision. It really looks bigger than it is, in the pictures. And a touch screen, you have to take a hand off the wheel, lean forward, look at the screen and touch an icon. I use my bluetooth hadset and say "Audry open firefox, address bar, www.mp3car.com" and im on this site without ever looking at the screen or moving.

I know its not for everyone! Its for me, and i'm happy. Everyone has great points, and i don't want to turn this into whats better whats not, so, you are all correct, its huge, but it is exactly what i wanted, 1280 x 1024 and easy to read.

(oh hey, thanks on the touch pad comment!)

    Well, whatever works for you.

Aren't you worried about theft, or anything like that?

And if it's voice controlled, why do you have a keyboard and touchpad?

The voice is cool for opening apps, and typing small stuff. but i cant VPN into work then VNC into a machine with voice, so i cant use it for everything.
