What are you looking to gain out of it?

just an idea of the setup. I have yet to see one in the making.

Well, there are plenty of laptop installs, so many of those would be the same, right?

It's not like the EEE is touchscreen.

I just want specific model because the EEEpc is not your typical average laptop. Very different. I want to know how was the setup. the gps unit used. THe fm transmitter used, and also the lcd screen. But if you could answer those questions feel free to do so phat. But once again anyone have a work log for EEEpc.

Mate all that stuff will be the same as any other laptop, it's not really any different. If you're using a laptop, look at USB peripherals. For a screen it's exactly the same as every other install here, something VGA with a USB touchscreen. You'd also want a USB HDD to augment the storage.

Nothing different about using an Eee PC vs. another laptop.

Mods should probably move this to the newbie section too.

so I would the forums, possibly ... oh and

I try to do my carpc with asus eee.
But i had a lot of problems like:
overheathing
dificulty to turn it on
low speed to turn on (WINDOWS)
Just 3 usb on board

I just helped a student of mine wipe out the Xandros OS on his EEPC and we installed TinyXP Rev05. (Had to because of lack of Linux drivers for his EVDO AirCard.) The provided XP driver disk from ASUS worked great and the load time is not much longer than under Xandros. I imagine a full XP install would take longer to boot. I was very impressed with how it ran. Probably compares very well to any of the VIA based systems.

As has been said, the EEPC is just like any other laptop, but smaller. The only thing I don't get with laptop installs is to turn them on and off, but I haven't looked into that as I'm building a mini-ITX system.
