2007 Gmc Yukon XL- 10.4" HD In dash -Center console Blu/Ray Hd-Dvd - AMD X264 5000+

Well I just got this in :

This thing is an awesome Lcd.

It's 10.4"
1024x768 native resolution
400 nit brightness
500:1 contrast ratio

And best of all it has 180 degree viewing, up/down left/right.
Words can't describe how beautiful this thing is. Anywhere you sit it looks the same, it doesn't get dim as you move left/right like other Lcd's.

And the sunlight readability is excellent, better than the Shark by far.

And at 1024x768 the resolution is incredible. My HD movies look HD now. :shocked:
I can't even begin to stress enough how much of a difference 1024x768 is over 800x600. Once you see the detail you won't go back.

And this thing is bright. My other Shark 10.4" had a brightness of 300:1 so I had to crank up the brightness/contrast to get it close to this one and then the blacks were washed out. The Shark was bright but this one is quite a bit brighter.

It's hard to catch on camera but this gives you an idea.
Keep in mind that the Shark is on top and the brightness and contrast are cranked up to match the VisionTouch on bottom.

The VisionTouch is now on top installed in the dash.
The Shark is on the bottom back in it's case without the touchscreen.

You can really see in this next pic that the Shark has a bad viewing angle from above :( But the viewing angle from all other directions were "pretty good".

Another update.

I added an LG GGC-H201 Blu-Ray/Hd-Dvd player in the place of the Dvd player.

Now I get to watch all my HD movies in the car.

wow that screen looks amazing! i wonder how well the 8.4 inch is that they sell, very nice install LOVE the bluray drive

I have 2 vga controllers ordered for the back screens.

Composite just looks terrible and I can't watch HD-Dvd or Blu-Ray on the back screens in clone mode. I guess it's that darn Copywrite or HDCP crap.

But with Vga controllers and a splitter I can put 1024x768 on all 3 monitors :)

Alright I got 2 vga controllers for the headrest monitors.

The headrest monitors had Toshiba LTA090B400F screens in them.

I contacted a friend in China who got me 2 Vga controllers for them and an extra screen since they needed a screen to program the controller. Total costs was $120

Yea kind of expensive but worth it.

Now the screens look razor sharp at 1024x768. I have a VGA splitter splitting the signal to the front and back screens. So now I can watch HD-Dvd and Blu-Ray in the front and back. :peace:

the screen is really nice i would love to see if i could put on in my 05 camry for my setup prices doesn't same to bad either would be a lot better if i had the money to do my install :( but one day one day

Well I had to special order them and they had to be programmed for the Lcd.

So a part # won't do you any good. It's probably just a generic controller that was programmed for the Lcd's. If you want to order the exact same controller for the same Lcd I can contact my friend and get you in contact with him.
