Thread: Bmw Car Pc

Hello everybody:
First, I would like say excuse me for my english.
And Second, I´d like you enjoy my project couse I´m very proud about that. I think I get car looks like totally original.
Ok,Car is a BMW E39 520I. Screen is LILLIPUT 7¨ touch screen. I was lookig a lot of time for an screen that fits as well as posible in radio hole. So I found one that fits perfectly in high but I´ll had to do an adaptor. It was so easy couse I bought an standard radio adaptor. I opened the screen and did a little bit bigger the adaptor hole. So I attacked de adaptor between trhe two parts of the screen. Them I cut theoriginal moldings an put this at two sides of the screen.SO EASY! But I had a big headhache about that. Ha ha ha.
PC is an Asrock Alive fn6g with 1 gb ram 800, with an AMD LE 1150 in a DM Chassis that was holed in the original navigation place. I had to pass a lot of wires under the rear seats and carpet to the front of the car. I got al the information by Internet (God bless the net!) in mp3 car an solocarputer pages, Ah! Youtube was a good font too.
I´m sorry. I had no photos about the building process because i know this are the more important for people who wants to do similar projects. But I worked all time like a spanish: Improvising JE JE JE.
