Yes, and no it can't. I posted a picture of the problem on, I think, that installation page a few months back.
Here it is....I gave the wrong thread.

Did you ever find out if the iMon Ultrabay could be split in half?

My opinion is my own.
Where did you get your imon in canada? You were sayin there was a cheap place and I just read in one of your threads you just ordered one from there cause you broke the lcd or somethin?
I have measured and have about 11-11.5 inches to work with on my dash height wise. I'm pretty sure it will all fit width wise. Should be pretty tight. I've found some measurements online saying the imon is 250mm in height which equates to 9.6 inches in height and that doesn't seem right at all. I'm thinkin more like 3-4.5 inches?
When I was modifying my radio to fit the imon in it, I used 2 CDRom faceplates and it fit perfect. So no, it's nowhere near that tall. Here is a few videos that might help:

Have you seen anything like this mesh or know where to get it. This is what I'm going to use as my fan guards in the aluminum box I am creating for the housing of my amp and pc components.
Thanks for the links they helped. Well I think I should be able to fit everything in there because I found a link saying the screen you have is about 4.7 inches tall. Should be plenty of room. Now I just have to find some good prices and get the stuff and I'm will be well on my way for a nice little project!

I think it will look good powder coated in black against a black carpeting over the aluminum box I am making. My neighbor powder coats things so I think I could get him to do it.
yeah that sounds good. I will keep that in mind when I'm doing it. I'm thinkin some vantec stealth 80mm fans will do the job.

Ought to get the job done with least amount of added noise to the car as possible. Not that the 3in greddy doesn't already make enough. LOL... I will post some pics when I have progress to show for the box today and will do the same whenever I can find a good price on the imon and xenarc.
Nice install Dan, If I get motived enough I will mouth my mic this sunday, not sure where I am going to mount it yet. So far its between where you have yours mounted or maybe closer to my knee depending how it picks up my voice there.
