I hear a few weird noises and buzz duing the pc start up but all is quiet after that, I still haven't road tested it yet, there may be other noise issues after I do, I'll let you know.
Some issues I'm I am trying to work out are: How to tune in the HD radio stations in Centrafuse, I have the HDZOOM and Mitch's cable. I get regular am/fm but can't seem to get HD like 90.7-2, where's the -2 you need to add? The other issue is a microphone for handsfree phone and voice commands.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks for the compliment!

I avoid hearing those weird noises as Windows XP boots up and initializes the sound card by using Fusion Brain to turn on my Amp afterwards. I'm a little bit of a perfectionist so I may have to buy a different Amp to get rid of the powering up noise my Amp makes. Also with onboard audio, I find if you use power hungry USB devices (ie USB cdrom drive) you may get strange computer buzzing noises in the audio, so it's best to avoid having those plugged in all the time.

I haven't played with HD Radio or tried out a microphone yet sorry.

I was having USB problems using a unpowered 4 port hub, touchscreen wasn't working right and other thing were acting weird so I bought a Dynex 7 port powered hub, wired to where the dvd power was hooked up, ran the dvd unpowered to the pc usb port and now everything works great! I'm happy! Now I just need a microphone....

Just added a WD "My Passport" 250g usb powered hard drive I got from Best Buy for $99, can't believe how small it is, pluged it into the 7 port hub and everything still works! I think I'm done now...except for a microphone.

Glad you all like it, I do to!
My Tv isn't really working, don't know if it's the antenna or my pc can't handle the HD prostick, I know my pc doesn't meet the requirements for the prostick, guess I'll have to sell it.

    Awesome job!!!

I have an LS...I have had my setup for 4 year. Looks like your 'before' picture.

I was planning to put my 7" screen where the ac vents are but decided against it, and am kind of glad I didnt...having it at the lower spot is a lot more convenient for me to use the touchscreen as my arm rests on the shift knob most of the time anyways. PLUS I knew after i was done cutting **** up it would not look as good as yours.

How did you make it look so, like you didnt do anything...looks very professional and factory. Any details on fabrication and products used?...i might decide to change mine up :-)

How about the rest of the silver..is this some sort of kit?

Sanbas, thanks for the compliment, thought maybe I was the only one with a "D" around here.
I was going to relocate the heater controls where the ashtry is but....I smoke so I decided to lose the vents. I'm a autobody tech and used what I had around the shop. After cutting my vent mount apart, I used 2-part epoxy called speedgrip to glue the heater controls to the vent mount. I did completly take apart the heater control including the buttons. After it was glued together I used Tigerhair fiberglass to fill in the gaps and sanded and shaped it. I then used 2K primer to fill sand scratches and 2-part spot putty for pinholes. The LCD mount was done in much the same way.
For the silver, I picked out a silver I liked from our paint chip books and painted everything you see that's silver with Sherwin Williams Ultra 7000 basecoat/clearcoat. I painted the power window switch plates on the doors silver but didn't like it so I used black trim paint and painted them again, came out real nice with texture. I figured I'd go with the silver VRX look, I just found a VRX steering wheel I might buy.

Thanks, i'll keep this in mind if I ever decide to take this type of fabrication project on...maybe on my next car.
