Chinese 7" GPS Installed in Nissan 350Z

I took one of these.....

And decided i didn't like it hanging off my windscreen....so i decided to mod it.

Over the space of 3 days my project was up and running.

I have a fantastic inbuilt GPS system now running IGO8 with latest maps. Also it has a real good FM transmitter so i can play all my mp3's through my existing stereo.

Im happy to answer any questions you may have regarding my install

How good is the screen under full sunlight? what about the sound quality?

Its ok under full sunlight could do with a filter on it though. I cant beleive how good the sound quality is to behonest coming through the fm transmitter. I was planning on hardwiring it into the stereo but having heard the quality of fm its perfectly fine!

Not sure of the exact dimensions but once in place behind the cubby, there is about 1 to 2 cm of casing all around to secure it without going onto the screen.

One thing i did have trouble was the actual board. It fits but i had to relocated the power aux due to it sticking out way to much once inserted.
