When u start the truck, the alternator charges the main battery, and then when it reaches 13.7v the relay cuts IN. and begins to charge the auxillary battery.
if the voltage of the main battery drops below 12.8v the isolater cuts OUT and begins to charge the main battery again.

I see that you have the cheap USB hub from eBay... I bought a few of them but the blinking LEDs annoyed me so i took them off. It worked for a little while but then it stopped working. I don't know if it was just bc it was a cheapo or if it had something to do with me removing the LEDs. How is it holding up for you so far?
haha, funny you should say that, every now and then it decides it does not want to work, i have to unplug the usb and plug it back in, i put it down to it being an el cheapo too
how is the sound quality from the dell? I bought an sx270 and plan to put it in truck.
the sound quality is fine, i have it running out of the speaker jack on the dell into an auxilary input via rca's in the deck.
one thing i have noticed in maybe 1 out of every 10-15 reboots is the sound card doesnt seem to work at all. my system boots from hibernation and to fix the no sound issue i just do a restart.

where the RV meter? keep in store? is there any other place to install this thing in the car?
The Rv meter is in the shed. it wasnt the most accurate anyway. i have a Elmscan so i can connect it up to the computer if i want the same readings anyway.
And yes, there is always room to install more things!
