Mate, we have come to the conclusion that is for processing the info from the computer to display on the RV meter.
see here on this thread discussed on newtriton.net Can Adapter - what does it do
also this is from Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controller_Area_Network
hope that helps.
HI
just wondering how much for the car pc and were did you get it from because i would like to put one in my triton
Thanks
Very nice install.
Question, I have an SX (maybe an SX280) and have always wondered how to power it in the car. How are you bypassing the massive power brick to the carnetix, are you just splicing the cable straight it or such?
Any vague wiring explanation/diagram would be awesome.
This is a 2-/2 year old thread. You may not get a response, it depends if he is still around here. Just sayin'...
Damn, didn't realise this was a zombie thread.
Well ill try to answer 5nak3 then. Its not a car PC, its a Dell SX series microtower, you can find them on ebay but they are insanely underpowered for the price (P4 2.8Ghz etc) pair that with a touchscreen and carnetix DC-DC PSU and you have the basics of his setup
