You might know that gel case may melt if you park in a sunny day, possible 200 in Fahrenheit or 93 in Celsius if you have windows closed.
    Thats why I use aluminum

jsquires: Thats not hard.... just find a EK 96-98 cpu holder, it is compatible to all 99-00 models

So that is how you got the deck install to look so professional. I see. Ckegg, I'm trying to understand why if you have a carputer with music playing ability do you have a deck also?

There is lots of reasons to leave a head unit in the car,

ie. for when the computer crashes or is experiencing issues - you still have audio

For integration with some of the very complex manurfacturer installs

For ease of use when dealing with other peoples cd's if you can't nicely integrate a cd drive into your bezel

    For ease of resale

    thats four for you quickly

Also, in my case, I like the lights.

    Very clean looking. Great work.
I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet .

Thanks for the info. That clarifies some things for me. I am wondering about maximum potential audio integrity and quality and of head unit vs. carputer. Is one better than the other? I understand there are many variables to factor in before giving a complete answer. I'm just wondering which has the highest overall potential to play the highest quality sound through speakers. Thanks in advance!

    Hi everyone

I am going to sell this system because I just changed car
If you are interested in buying this system, PM me with your offer, don't reply in here otherwise thread may get locked. Thanks.

This system is still has same configuration, still running excellent, the only difference is I am not using RoadRunner anymore (changed to other commercial system)
The case size is 7" wide, 4" 1/4 height, 8" 1/2 deep, but with the VGA port length, it requires 10" deep space in your car.
The unit will not come with any Operating System such as windows or linux. Both Hard drives will be wiped.

It will come with the unit itself, harness power cable, BU-353 GPS Receiver, OBDPro Compact USB (modded with remote power on/off and extended cable), wireless antenna, Kawasaki AVM678 7" Color LCD Monitor with harness.

Again, the system's spec is here:
    Lilliput 629GL-70NP
    Intel D945GCLF2 Mini-ITX
    Patriot 32GB SSD
Seagate 160GB 7200.2 SATA Hard Drive
    Crucial DDR2-800 1GB
    EDIMAX EW-7128G Wi-Fi Wireless PCI
    AZiO BTD603-132 USB Bluetooth Adapter
    picoPSU M3-ATX 125W
    Bluetooth receiver
