I like your build so far, and I'm a little jealous of your set up. Next build I will probably go for similar hardware. I am having all kinds of trouble with the bluetooth though; for music or phone calls, so I gave up for a while... what stack are you using? bluesoliel, widcomm?
Thanks :) I'm using the BlueSoleil stack. It comes with Centrafuse. I tried a friend's iPhone with it and it works well with it too. My HTC TyTN II occasionally gives me a slight hiccup when it won't connect, but it eventually works.Quote:

Update
I've upgraded to Centrafuse 3.1 and so far it's excellent :)
I bought a USB OBD-II scanner and wired it up. As you can see below, my OBD port is located next to the hood release:

Here's the view from under the dash, i.e. behind the OBD port. I decided I would run the OBD cable along here and route it behind the centre console and through to the passenger side of the car where it will enter the glovebox and connect to the USB hub:

This is just after I connected the OBD scanner to the port. The port is fixed to the dash with two friction clips, so I released those clips and tucked the port to the side so the OBD scanner doesn't need to be bent. Now there's a hole where the OBD port used to be - I might mount my amplifier's remote gain control there.

I tried feeding the USB cable all the way through with a metal coathanger but the mass of cables behind the centre console was making it difficult, so I pulled out the car PC to make it easier. In the pic below, the black USB cable in the middle is the OBD scanner's cable:

After that, it was smooth sailing and it's now pretty much permanently connected to the USB hub. Whenever I resume from hibernation, my OBD stats always show up in Centrafuse. The GPS receiver also seems to be working well upon resuming from hibernation.
While I had the car PC out, I thought I'd give my USB hub a boost of power. I made a DC power cable and connected one end to the hub in the glovebox, and soldered the other end to the two remaining wires on the molex connector. Below you can see the molex connector in question. The 12V wires (yellow and black) power my Lilliput 629GL and the 5V wires (red and black) power the USB hub.

And while I was at it, I decided to run another 3.5mm -> 2 x RCA cable so I could run my system in four-channel mode. I'm using a four-channel amplifier but all this while I had two RCAs being split into four, and this only allowed for balance control between left and right channels. Now with both cables in place and the Realtek software set to four-channel, I can fade between front and rear speakers.
You have all but sold me on Centrafuse mate, sounds all too easy. Will be downloading the trial this afternoon and giving it a run. How easy is the ODB configuration?

It uses the ELM327 chip. So I plugged it in, installed the drivers from the CD, and then in Centrafuse, I went to the OBD settings menu and set the chip to ELM 327 and set the correct COM port. That's all I had to do.
Update
I've sold the LCD and the PSU. This car PC has been removed from the car and the stock headunit has been reinstalled. It was a fun project and it will certainly be missed.
Right now, the PC is still intact (apart from the LCD and PSU which have been sold). The motherboard is listed here for sale, if anyone's interested. I plan to build a whole new car PC in December 2010.

It was fun having it in there and my frequent passengers miss it just as much as I do. I decided to sell it while the parts still had some value. If I wait till the end of the year, I probably won't get the same money I got for it now. I figured I could do without a car PC for six months and by the end of that time, I would have probably drawn up a plan for a new car PC.
