Did spray painting the receiver seem to cause any problems? I wanted to do this, but feared it might lower reception.

Also what about heat, wouldn't the black raise the temperature of the device when sitting in the sun?

Let me know what you have found on that. I have one and really want to do that but don't want to risk causing any problems. CoPilot is the core of my setup.

The receiver seems to work just fine afer spray painting it. Heat hasn't been a problem, but so far it's only been run in the winter time.

The speech recognition was not good for the car because there is so much background noise while driving. I ended up turning it off b/c it would constantly hear things that I wasn't telling it.

    I hope that this helps.

Nice setup mate Looks nice and tidy

Two questions for you. the DVD drive you have in the front... How have you got it connected to the PC? as IDE wouldnt reach that far. I guess its a IDE>USB bus connector?

Also, the winamp skin, whats the name of it? Ive had a look with no luck. Would look nice on my home theater setup (and my pending car pc)

    Sweet job on the install.
looks good with the Xenarc screen and custom Winamp Skin.

I like where you placed the GPS, was wondering to put it on mine now I'm getting ready to build the case to go in the trunk.

How do you control the PSU?

Is it on an ignition fed line, or using somekind of remote switch or relay?

    chenko,
the cd drive is connected using an external firewire enclosure.

the opus is starts up and shuts down the computer with the ignition.

Cheers. I suppose with an Opus, ignition fed akes the most sense.

As I'm going to go the inverter route, I having it permant wired direct to the battery, but with Headunit remote feed operating a relay, so when the stereo is cut off, the inverter is isolated.
