So are the poop piles included in the cots of fabrication, or is that extra?

I'm hoping its included cause i want to hang them from my rearview mirror.

Yea i sent portabuddy everything. My double din screen and both pieces of my dash.

I hate the warp so bad, lol.... I do wonder if their newer model, the Patriot Torque is better.

As far as the screen, is that a whole PC? The Guru? PortaBuddy never got back to me. I think its been about 2 weeks.

Oh there are a ton of better drives but the warp was cheap :P Nope that is just a double din screen with an amp and fm tuner (both of which i don't use). Its the revo-sys monitor. I love it too. It works really well. Try contacting portabuddy on 8thcivic. He is on that site everyday. I don't think he checks his mail everyday. Don't leave him a private message just post your question his message board.

nope portabuddy, whoever that is never checks his emails? WEIRD!... im kinda in over my head right now with work, its crazy. we hit the 1mil/month mark here and now that are going for the 1.5 mil. with three new accounts. i have to now work saturdays and im on nights tmw and the day after, they 3-4h of sleep and its back to work... worse yet they are cutting hours so that saturday im working is for free in lue of a day off... which i cant take becasue we need 2 more ppl just to keep up.


Im not going to be taking on anymore projects for a little while until it stabilizes.

And the evolution continues.

Rough sanding to equilize the levels, this was done with 80 grit sand paper.



Fits good..., at this point i decided to add a facet on the right side to intergrate the volume knob.


sanded it a bit more and decided it looks too bloated!. i will be knocking it down and making it more concave.


To do this tools or Di's need to be made, i use things wrapped in sandpaper, in this case i started to work on the lower part and used 120 wrapped around a bbq skewer.


Used as such.


and the result(not done yet but you get the idea)

Thats all i took pics of this far... My hands where way to covered in dust so a few little steps where skipped. but thats ~3-4 hours right there

sorry guys i kinda left this forum because it was a ghost town, kinda still is. once im done Bxsteez dash stuff I'll have a look at yours ZX1Cruizer... looks like no one will work with you so i'll do it. but i just don't want to get in over my head.

We need to get you to come back!!!! Your carputer is already amazing and getting better but yea compared to 8thcivic this place is a complete ghost town.

Well certain aspects are very hard. Most of it is fairly easy. If you look at the email you can see which are the hard ones. You are right, no one seems to be interested, maybe because I am being so specific. I wish I could find a Miami person, but I honestly dont know what to look for, like who to ask for, etc. Plus Miami people tend to be shaddy and me and shaddy dont sit to well, so I dont want to have to worry about fighting a fabricator.

i applied some spot putty or glazing putty or finishing putty to areas that needed more work(all of it)



SAND SAND SAND SAND!!!!


this piece i re-shaped about 5-6 times. at least. You can see the slightly different shades of the putty here.


and the other side, worked a but more...


Though it would be fun to give you a Behind the MASK view... ALWAYS wear a respirator.


While working it today i notices a small crack forming where i ran out of short-stranded fiberglass when i was making the bezzle. i mixed up some more and comtinued piping it out. but looks like it didnt bond well in this spot... sooooo..


I had to fix it... to do that i took my dremel and ground down bolth sides, then like a dovetail joint in a book case i cut wedge shapped groves to hold the joint well... then filled it with the glass. sanded and filled with putty.


like it never happened....

and what it looks like now.



I just tossed on some paint today after fixing the crack to bring out imperfections that you just cant see otherwise.
