Love it. I finally got my dash. Waiting for my engine to be fixed.
They are great for a bottle of water, but not for a coffee travel mug, soda, etc.

Very nice! Is that a JL W6 series sub? I love how clean your sub install is, any more info on how you did the sub enclosure? My 12W6V2's box takes up way too much space in the trunk.

Very true. I've had to yell at passengers who put cups in the doors. I usually get bottles though, so that setup would work for me.

What do you use the 16X2 LCD for and how did you get the space navigator to work with centrafuse? I thought they were still working on drivers for it.
Still working on the code, but basically its periodically showing different obdii params, gps position, and random messages I IM it ;-) Java code talks to it via rs232.

Re Centrafuse, I am using the RBC9 driver to simulate keypresses for Centrafuse.

Thanks! Its a 10w3v3 sub. Its in a rectangular enclosure that is actually sitting where the spare tire was, set up so the top of it is flush with a false floor. Around that, there is room for the electronics. So, the false floor covers everything and makes it all flat. There's some more info on the page in my sig. Worked out pretty well in the end I think.

Just updated the OP with some more info (trying to get organized for a meet this weekend). Mostly talking about some custom software which is now starting to bear fruit.

The custom software runs as a daemon on the car, hooks into OBDII, LCD, GPS, and manages a whole bunch of stuff while exposing several interfaces (web for iphone, IM, telnet command console, etc.).

Here's an IM session with the car (custom software, it acts like a command line app but I can run it in an IM session via Google Talk (any Jabber server, actually)):

I also have a custom iPhone interface (the car publishes its IP to my website, so I can I hit my public site to redirect to the car, wherever it is):

The gory command-line interface is avail via a network port (just telnet to it), it looks something like this:

Where did you get your arcade buttons? Are they from SparkFun?

I got the arcade buttons at Ultimarc, because that's also where I got the key encoder: http://www.ultimarc.com/minipac.html

Sparkfun has them too, but just the switches, not the key encoder boards (which are the awesomest way to integrate random buttons into your carpc I think).

    Thanks for the kudos, btw.
