I was actually really confused because I didnt look at the user name, only the avatar. I thought to myself "how the hell can frodo live with this, I would have killed myself by now..."
Now I see his angry kitty is animated, and I must laugh. Do you have plans to get it all clean eventually?

HAHAHAHAHA, it can be either or, or both, just depends on who can tickle my pickle faster.
I think there is so much potential for this project though. A carpc would look hot. I know l33t_tj said its to hot, but its hot in FL and my setup is doing ok. It is in the main cabin, since I drive an SUV. I think you can do the same though.

Its been 100F here past couple days and the rest of the week. No problems in the trunk. I have a 35W Core2Duo that auto steps down with temperature anyways. And if I am really worried (like it was baking in a parking lot for the majority of the day), I just fold down one of the seats from the trunk to the cabin but no problems so far. And this is in a Voom2 case which is really itty bitty. I am sure if I put it in a bigger case it would have no problems even without a folded seat. Oh and this is in my coupe btw, not a huge SUV.

pc's will trottle back and shut down if they overheat. what im worried about is when winter hits and my truck turns into a -20deg metallic popsicle. startups are not going to be pc-friendly then... but its one of those things you just run with until something breaks. or build a garage that you can put your car in...

Wrong. My install in 1986.
Atari 1200XL w/16k of ram. On second thought, maybe it had 64k. Can't remember. Also had 90k 5-1/4 floppy drive.
A 1986 Dodge Shelby Charger.
A monochrome green screen 12 volt CRT. You read that right. Big glass tube.
Epson FX-80 Dot-matrix printer in the trunk (actually, on the ground to the right) with extension cord to power it for outputting results to paper.
Printout of time/distance speed function.
