the m2 should do ya fine.. just make sure to have it cooled either actively or passively and you should be fine. I've had a multitude of setups over the years including a full desktop amd 2800+ mobo with full accessories. The m2 didnt fail there so it shouldnt fail in your case.

I read your review in the Review Palace, and I called up Andrea Electronics to find out more about the mic. They did confirm that you need to hook the mic to their sound card for both noise filtering AND echo cancellation to work.

How did you set up your audio? i.e., which ports on what sound card did you use for input and output?

i have the andrea mic's 3.5 inch line running to their sound adapter which is connected via usb to the pc. All of my outputs come from the onboard HD audio. So in windows sound mixer i selected the andrea sound adapter as the mic device and kept the playback device as the onboard audio. If you do this and keep the andrea software running in the background, noice and echo cancellation works. The only time it didnt work for me is when i hibernated and the mic resumsed as another device... but i fixed that problem by hooking the andrea sound adapter to the carnetix p5usb device from mp3car

at the time it was ride runner with a custom flash skin i was toying with. It was never finished or released. I have since moved on and now use Centrafuse 3

What are your impressions of Centrafuse 3? I have never been a fan of centrafuse, but hear good things about the new version.

i love its simplicity. I love that i dont have to create a skin for it because the Clean skin is as OEM as a carPC should be. The only gripes i really have about it are things missing like playlist support, and a better media library. All of the things it lacks can be added via plugin though. I've been beta testing it for awhile now and it really has come a long way.

Look time no update. I just started a new install for my trunk. Sub box will be in the spare tire area nicely tucked away, Auxiliary battery, isolator, car PC (a new PC using a zotac MB) and accessories tucked nicely behind a raised frame I've done. Soon as i get the wires nicely tucked AGAIN i should have updated pics.
