Did I do something wrong, is it possible to do what I am attempting? I was excited to avoid all the gadgets to make my mp3 player work.

I just did the exact same project on my F-100 but I was adding a full computer to the truck lol.

Turn the radio off and hold down the function key. Once the functions come on you can scroll through using the channel selector and find where it says Aux off, turn it on. Turn the radio on and select Aux turn on your Mp3 player and play away!
