WOW. Great install. Really like it.
What kind of actuator and controller have you used?

The screen frame, is it homemade?

My actuator is hind of home made. I made it out of a old CD ROM drive.

It is controlled by two different switches one make the screen tilt out on make it tilt in.

The frame, or the bezel, is not home made. Jon-G made about 25 of them and sold them. this is one of them.

Thank you for the answer. It is THE BOMB with that tilt-system. Really like it.

Do you have any actuator sensors and controllers? Or is it simple controlled?

i could have used sensors or controllers. but the "actuator" just stops when it reaches the limit of its motion so they are not really needed. One switch make the motor go one way. the other switch is the opposite direction.

nicely done! I also have a VW, it's a Rabbit 08' and I have just begin on my build.
I'm new to this and I really liked your skin, which one is that? do you have any splash screens, logos with Volkswagen or VW logo?
the eject button and electronics can't be used from the same cd drive to open and close the screen?

the skin im using is just the standard centrafuse 3.1 skin.

Im not sure what you are talking about for the eject button.

If you are talking about having it so there is one button that you press, like the eject button, that makes the screen go in and out, then i guess you could have it that way if you wanted to. i did not do it that way because i wanted full customization of the screen position.

Im working on a User Interface that better represents the car.I have some ideas. but im still working on it. been testing out all the system. GPS works. WIFI works. Music works, DVD works, Centrafuse needs some work( Audio glitches and user interface.)

Very very nice. Do the dvdrw make alot of noise, and what kind of switches are you using for the monitor? Also, what type of hinges did you use to hide the dvdrw. I really like that set up.....
