I finally bought Garmin for PC. Garmin vs. Microsoft Streets and Trips… To be honest I been a big fan of Streets and Trips, but Garmin software kicks it butt. I have two usb gps receiver in the same place and the Garmin sees more satellites.

Looking good so far. I love how the last set of pix, the first was blurry then the second was crystal clear. I feel bad you have no space at all. Let me ask though, did you splice into the factory wires for the speakers and headunit? If yes, how come you didnt buy like a plug and play kit?

yes the speakers wire was splice. I used the RCA cables on the cd player. I can't hook into the stock Bose amp because the amp is controlled by optical. the kit turns the stock plug into a usable wire set. As for the speakers, I used the my own amps so the power came from there. I only had to tap into the wire where the old amp was and the door speakers. I tried my best not to butcher the old wiring system so i only cut when I had to.
On Friday the 22nd of Jan. I did some "testing" with a usb hub... lets just say it didn't go as planned. This "testing" cost me everything that was plugged into this hub. I fried two hubs a Logitech controller, and my GPS unit from Microsoft. Luckily I didn't have my Garmin plugged in at the time. So I will order a used Streets and Trips for the GPS. This weekend I replaced the controller. What a pain it was to solder it but finally its done. Now the rocker switches work again. The Logitech controller was used the control two rocker switches next to the screen on the left hand side. These switches act as buttons on the controller. With the controller depending on what program is running in the front ground, the buttons can do different things. play, pause, forward, backward, open, close, etc. I like my voice recognizing software and touch screen, but there is always room for hard keys.
I'm running Windows Media Center as my front end. I customized it to fit the car.
