How I Customized Windows Media Center to my liking with Media Center Studio
Open “Media Center Studio”
Look are a tab called “Start Menu”
Click on it.
Here you can edit the look of rows.
*make small changes, and save as you go.
*at this point you are making multi backups to the folder “ehome” there were several time when I had made a save and something I did crashed the program. Doing this, all I had to do was delete the bad folder. Drag and drop a good folder rename it to “ehome” and I was ok again.
*in the upper left hand corner there is a save and a quick lunch for WMC.
When you move the mouse over the “Name of the Row” there will be two icons on either side of it.
The check box is used to turn on or off the row.
The notepad is used to rename the row.
You can also grab and movie any box anywhere. (i.e. move music library to the Tasks row)
At the bottom of the left hand corner there is “Entry Points”. This is you selection of apps internal and external. You may drag and drop them as you like.
To add a “new row” or “application” click on the “Start Menu” tab.
To add a” new row” click on “Menu Strip.” It will be at the bottom of the page. The name of it will read “Custom menu”
To add a new external application click on “Application” under the “Start Menu” tab.
Here you can specify what happens to the audio and more.
Save and test.
