VERY cool. Thanks for that! Bookmarked, I'll try that some day. I have no graphic talent though, so let's see what happens.
Thanks again.
Open “Media Center Studio”
Look are a tab called “Start Menu”
Click on it.
Here you can edit the look of rows.
*make small changes, and save as you go.
*at this point you are making multi backups to the folder “ehome” there were several time when I had made a save and something I did crashed the program. Doing this, all I had to do was delete the bad folder. Drag and drop a good folder rename it to “ehome” and I was ok again.
*in the upper left hand corner there is a save and a quick lunch for WMC.
When you move the mouse over the “Name of the Row” there will be two icons on either side of it.
The check box is used to turn on or off the row.
The notepad is used to rename the row.
You can also grab and movie any box anywhere. (i.e. move music library to the Tasks row)
At the bottom of the left hand corner there is “Entry Points”. This is you selection of apps internal and external. You may drag and drop them as you like.
To add a “new row” or “application” click on the “Start Menu” tab.
To add a” new row” click on “Menu Strip.” It will be at the bottom of the page. The name of it will read “Custom menu”
To add a new external application click on “Application” under the “Start Menu” tab.
Here you can specify what happens to the audio and more.
Save and test.

sure thing. let me know know if you need anything else.
hi,
me also making mine wmc but could not save ehres.dll file in restorator.
i have logged in as administrator, but it did not save so i chose to save on next system start(restorator option), but it did not make it. i have tried to do by renaming did not allow again. then i looked the permissions and see that i do not have permission to write so i tried to change it but it did not even allow me to edit the permissions.
i am using win7, did you make it with xp?
i have solved it by chaging the ownership of the file
I'm running win 7u 64bit in the car. I made the changes with my win 7u 64bit HP laptop. I think I ran into the same problem as you did. Win 7 is particular about the curtain folders. Sorry I missed that step.
THIS STEP GOES AFTER ''How I Customized Windows Media Center to my liking"
After you back up the folder and the file "ehres.dll" drag the file (ehres.dll) to the desktop. From here you can take ownership of the file.
drag this file into Restorator. Edit the file to your liking then save it to the desktop again.
Once done with the file drop it back into the ehome folder (”C:\Windows\ehome”)
I added some new software to the car. This piece of software is from BlueSoleil. I bought their BlueSoleil 6 and cPhoneTool plug-in. With this Bluetooth software I can pair up my Touch Pro with the pc for hands free calling. I can dial on screen and update contracts list all through cPhoneTool. If I'm listen to music I can call cPhoneTool up via One Voice. So far the only two things I don't like about the software are, the price and inability to maximize it to full screen.
BlueSoleil cPhoneTool
Not sure what the window size is my guess is 800 x 600
Change the OS HDD to SSD.
Thats it.
