I like it looks good
Hello fellow Carpc enthusiasts .
i'm here to showcase my lil carpc project.
I drive a 2006 mazda6 , i bought used last year. I call her "mazdarati" because I was privy enough to drive a maserati once and i immediately fell in love.
And since i cannot afford a real one, i will simply call what i own something similar.
Plus the name is catchy.

For audio i am using my factory radio. i modified the CD-changer input by attaching a 3.5mm jack.
I added a 760w Pioneer amp in the trunk. It powers a Punch 3 Rockford fosgate sub that I have down to 2ohms.
Last week I picked up my fiberglassed LCD housing from a friend. That "completed" my project; or at least brought it to version 1.0 lol
i will post pix, and if you have any comments or questions, i'll be more than happy to answer them.
This is how the car looked like wen i got it. I took this pic from a quick google search..

Really nice molding! I need to learn how to do that. Good work.
Andrew
i need to modify the molding.
i need to put a brim on it like a hat. to stop the sun hitting the screen i cant see annnnything with this summer sun lol
the molding was made in the winter , and sun wasnt an issue then lol
Trinybwoy,
Would you mind telling me how you used winamp and centrafuse together? I have a problem with my library being so slow as well as taking forever to get to a song in the W's. haha. Would you mind me using your idea of winamp and also telling me how you did it? if you dont want to thats fine, but it would help me alot! haha Thanks bud
Hey Krillik,
I dont use winamp and Centrafuse simultaneously.
I used to use centrafuse as my primary FE. but it wasnt fast enough for me. it took about 25mins to load all my music into on playlist.
So i jumped over to winamp. Winamp's playlist can handle quite a large number of songs once loaded. (i have about 67k in my library) [winamp loads that many songs in about 2mins]
to make winamp a little carpc friendly, i use a skin called komodo, you can google it easily.
the skin itself isnt exactly carpc functional beacuse of the smal buttons, but it looks good :-)
If im lending the car to someone i fire up centrafuse and let them use that.
not sure if that answered ur question...
yes it did acutally, I appreciate it!
I want one!!! wanna build me one too? haha
