Thread: '10 Scion TC Carputer install

Well project is back on hold for awhile in the hardware wise, still working on software, but the monitor I bought off ebay was lost by USPS and have been waiting almost 2 months for it. Unfortunately the seller didnt have tracking on the package so they dont know where it is. So have to wait until either the monitor arrives or I get some extra cash flow (probably the 15th of august realistically) before I can install it.

Hesitant on installing the wiring for the CNX-1900 still because its my first attempt and dont want to mess up my car...so will probably wait to take the plunge until i have everything ready to go (also if anyone has a good wiring diagram with parts needed for the 1900 that is simplified down would be apprciated)

What??????????? Thats the post office and sellers problem.... One of them has to give you the money back. What type of seller doesnt put tracking on a $150.00 and up item. Sounds like a scam if you ask me. I would request your money back. Im worried that you waiting 2 months may have been a mistake since opening up a ebay claim has to be within 30 days.

Well good news the screen I ordered and USPS lost finally arrived along with the K9 Sombra which Im gonna play with and see what I can do with it

OK so been gone for a few months busy with training again, but spent this weekend installing the computer and CNX-P1900. Everything is working great. Didnt end up liking the monitor I got so sold it back on ebay (with very little loss) and gonna just go ahead and buy one of the nice lilliputs this week (after payday on wednesday) and there is a nice sale going on also so thats good. Will update with some pictures once I get the screen in during my christmas break (its a present to myself). Installed both the CNX and PC under the passenger seat and with a little adjustment they fit perfect. Still working on the software side though not sure what im going to do about that.

Any more info on that 3M capacitive touch panel overlay?

Yeah I got it and played with it and it works nice, not sure if Im gonna use it or not and will probably end up selling it back

Do you know where I can find some more information about it?

Sorry havent been here in awhile, my install is getting a major revamp and has changed a lot, I had it installed for awhile but didnt like it so decided to go a different route. Im now working on an Android Tablet project, currently im creating a better carHome app for Android, because the ones available suck. Refer HERE for information on that.
