WOW!! looks very nice. where did you put the DVD player, is it in the trunk? looks like you replaced your factory HU, did you have any problems? some cars have the HU as the brain for some car controls... I am planning in going headless... maybe, I still have to see if it is possible.
Nice screen location, that is exactly what I am hoping for but I have just one DIN slot and I am also planning on putting my computer under the passenger seat.
You should try getting a cheap PCI video card so you can use power strip and use the whole screen.
Looks very cool I am jealous!! ;)
first I started with a kenwood HU. And no its very easy to install you just have to rip out a k-wire (diagnositc wire) and one other. Then just use a wiring harness and antenna adapter.
Then I got the dvd for entertainment purposes. Yes its in the trunk.
THEN my friend told me about mini car computers and after a few hundred dollars here I am. =)
I know its overkill HU, dvd, and comp..but oh well.
I want to get a usb tv tuner next.
oh and honestly I cant get a pci video card in there. I'll probably stick to my playstation case.
theres just no way to get any pic card in there. Oh well.
And sad part is I have an extra SB Live 5.1 oem = T
I know you. What's up fellow vortex'r?
sup Jett@boy, dubs and carputers just seem to go together so well. What I want to try next is a usb tv tuner but with good reception.
samc: although im thinkin about gettin a jetta and i wanna see your install again but there are no pics
you should fix your pics (not showing up)
wow what a thread revival. But that's what you get with 5 megs of webspace. I'll get new pictures for you with a coilover lowered Jetta on Audi TT rims. ANd I have a new carputer case to showcase. Stay Tuned Guitar
