2009 Altima Dash Mount Android Tablet PC

Done deal with the soldering. Time to go test the remote..probably still not working. Its all good though imma order another.

I am now wondering if I should revisit the mini amp and look for one that has a remote and physical buttons for adjusting which will come in handy if the remote or IR such as in the situation break for some reason. The thing is I still want the amp not visible. The only component I want visible is the tablet.

I have been looking for the amp you have but I haven't been able to find it. What brand is it? Also is there a way to get a control like the one you but for a regular amp?

I got it from ebay. There arent many that have remotes then this is the only one I found that has an extended IR. The brand is pcb. I will send you the link when I get home.

I just dropped my car off to get my LED ground signals and muffler chrome tips installed.

I searched ebay and googled it. Nada could not even find the brand, but did see a couple of chinese amps. Were you able the find the link? Did you upgrade to gingerbread?

Thank You very much!!! I hope you dont mind that I posted a link of your work over at xda. There are other people out that want to intergrate the tab into their car but are a bit lost again thanks for your help!

No prob. There are tons of solutions it just depends on what your goal is.

Ok..so just as I did with my last car I am upgrading my interior lights to LED. I decided on the blue LED color vs. the bright white which is what I had in my last car.

I am also getting an LED door handle kit which is something different for me. I was think about having them wired with the turn signal..I dunno still deciding.

Hey first off excellent thread and I'm also about to start down the same path you've outlined in this thread. I have a 2011 WRX Sedan, a rooted Sprint Galaxy Tab I picked up off woot.com, and my rooted HTC Incredible that I plan on integrating together in the vehicle when on the road.

My stock head unit allows both devices to connect via Bluetooth. I tested streaming music via Bluetooth and called my Incredible from my fiancee's cell... it worked fine. My issue I found was that I couldn't figure out a way to get the tablet to restart the music once I hung up. I recently bought Tasker for the sake of having that in my arsenal... just in case, but I don't think I can use that for my problem.

I'm torn if I want to actually remove the OEM head unit and replace it with other equipment to achieve this setup, or find a way to do this without removing it... either way, nice write-up.. wanted to join to give you props! Going to watch this thing come together.
