Did you find there wasn't a way to mount the tablet behind the kit so that the screen would be inset a little bit?
I also am still looking into improving my bluetooth integration.
Hmmm..another possible candidate for reworking my bluetooth integration..I just may get it to see how it works. The few reviews I read seemed to be positive. The real test is if I can connect more than one device at a time. To clarify I mean not concurrently but if I have my tablet paired for music and other multimedia and phone paired strictly for handsfree calling, then I can can play music from the tablet then when a call comes in from my phone it mutes the music and enables the voice audio from my phone. I dunno... we shall see.

For those new to my thread I will briefly explain my current challenge. I am using a scosche bluetooth receiver capable of both HFP and A2DP and it works rather well. The problem is that while you can pair multiple devices only one can actually connect at a time. So that means that I only have my tablet connected which I use for my music and other media. I cannot connect my phone expecting to receive or make calls. I don't really talk on the phone in the car so its not a big deal for me at the moment but this is still not an optimal solution. I need a bluetooth receiver that I can pair and toggle between the two protocols (HFP and A2DP) on separate devices without having to use a headunit and without having to use multiple hardware to do achieve this goal.
I have some ideas on touching up my dashmount by blending the bottom lip with the frame. In addition, I am going to see how I will modify it so that the tablet appears set back however its still where it is now...weird description, I know. It is crazy that the dynatron Epoxy stuff is so hard to find or no longer available. I suppose I can find and use another similar automotive epoxy..unless anyone has suggestions...anybody? anybody?
I also ordered the EGO Flash unit you see in my last post that I want to test and see how well it works as my "upgraded" bluetooth integration for A2DP and Handsfree compared to my current Scosche device. From what I understand it will mute the music audio when voice calls are activated. I know this is not the same as pausing the music, but I can live with that because its not that big a deal to touch the pause button on my music app if I really want to.
I think imma break down and get the Droid Bionic. I just tested a theory (that was already tested anyways) on how to remotely connect to my android tablet and control it using the Desktop Remote Web app and remote control add on. pretty slick and I was even able to execute a phone call from the remote app. It dialed on my tablet. So likewise if I were to root the Droid Bionic and connect to it from my tablet in theory I can execute phone calls through my tablet for the Droid Bionic. I was also able to connect to my tablet from my Droid eris (though the performance on the Eris was no doubt slower).
This all may not matter anyways since I will be installing Ego hands free unit for integrating both Bluetooth protocols. It was just interesting to connect to my tablet from different sources using the mobile hotspot connection. My whole point for even messing with this is because while the Droid Bionic has all this hype about the webtop. The hacks I saw only appear to work using cables and I want as least cables as possible. I will see what kind of rigging I can do to to execute and access the webtop remotely without wires through my tablet..will be interesting.
