I have recently been experiencing some audio glitching when I play music from my tablet. I was trying to determine what exactly is glitching. Was it my amp, was it cabling/wire connections. I even swapped out my mini amp and the same thing was happening. So I decided to stream from my Droid Bionic and there was no glitch what so ever. So that tells me that my amp and cabling are just fine. So this limits it to my tablet. I am thinking that something recently is using either CPU or memory thus impacting performance. I will have to do some trial an error to see what is causing this to happen. I hope its not tasker if so I will have to revisit my automated task configs. So far I have checked and it does't show any profiles active so maybe its something else... we shall see.

I did some testing just now performing a bunch of different scenerios and settings on both my bluetooth receiver and tablet. The music still glitches when playing. I was able to identify by observing the music player setting on the EGO Flash display that the music momentarily pauses. So in essence it is not glitching but intermittently pauses and this only happens during A2DP. If I play the music from my tablet connected to a headphone it works fine. It also plays fine through the tablet speakers. I suppose this may be due to many different reasons. There may be a compatibility issue between my tablet and the EGO Flash or.. something is up with the bluetooth A2DP on my tablet. I will have to do more tests and reading up on this. In the meantime my Bionic streams flawlessly and I have the same music apps installed so I can use this in the meantime until I get this figured out. I will still mount my tablet because I still periodically use it for things other than music in my car.

I performed a factory reset on my tablet and the problem still exists. I know this is definitely a software issue. I am going contact the EGO Flash support to see if they have a fix or suggestions for this. I know my EGO Flash has the latest software level so that's not an issue unless the latest does not have support for the galaxy tablets. I think this unit was designed with cell phones in mind not tablets so that too can be a factor.

Have you thought of installing an EQ and running a stereo cable to rca into the eq which would give you a pre amp boost and volume controls with an equalizer. It would also give you much better audio quality than the bluetooth if you are playing higher sq music such as flac files. I was going to do the gtablet in my car but the screen was to big. I found this and I was playing with it. It worked really well but in the end I could not find a good way to mount the tablet and make it look the way I wanted so I did not go with it. Looks like you are making some good headway, keep up the good work.

Yea well its more of compatibility between the bluetooth device and my tablet. The tablet itself is fine. I could just connect a jack to RCA to the amp but I'm all about no less wires. I dislike wires.

I have been streaming the bluetooth for years and even recent days I dont tell the difference in audio. My stuff cranks and even had people complement my clean sound..I dont even do anything special.

So I just tested a mini theory of mine but I not gonna like because it involves a cable

It's all good, not the end of the world. So what I did was connect my tablet to my amp using a jack to RCA cable which obviously works just fine. Then I connected my Bionic to the bluetooth. I was able to have audio from both devices on one channel. I would just have to pause the music when I receive or make a call...no biggie.

If I decide to go this route then that means I will probably not take my tablet out every night since this mount was designed primarily for no cabling which means that if I do have the power and audio cables connected I will not be able to simply pop the tablet out like I do now. I will actually need to take the double din kit out, then disconnect the cables from behind and then remove the tablet. Not a biggie but this will be a work around while I troubleshoot the compatibility with the EGO Flash and the Galaxy tablet.

One cool thing that I will mention is that I think I now have my newest favorite music Android app... if yall don't already know you gotta check out powerAmp from the market. It's essentially a music player but has built in EQ, crossfading swipe and more. Man I thought my system was nice enough for now...shoot Imma go ahead and buy this app. Its well worth it. For a minute I thought I just upgraded my upgraded speakers (even though I still have stock) when I enabled the EQ. The cool thing is it has presets but you can also manually tweek the EQ settings as well.

Enough of my rant for now. Lunchtime is over.
