So I made my minor modification so that I can connect the audio jack to RCA to the amp. I purchased an L shaped adapter that plugs into the tablet then the Jack to RCA cable connects from there to the amp. I also connected my charging cable.

I had to drill and sand a hole on the side of the mount so that the jack can plugin all the way. It took some work because the L adapter was a little bulky for this but I got it to work.

Tomorrow during the day (probably on my Lunch) I will record a demo for youtube and will post it here. Wow I am digging this powerAMP app. About to purchase it right now.

    So here are the Pics.

The last pic shows from the front that the corner is still flush with the jack connected.

My Altima dash doesn't look nearly as cool as yours. What volume knob is that?

Volume knob? I don't have a volume knob. I use a remote control. If you are referring to the last pic that is actually one of my stock A/C controls not for volume.

Oh... are you referring to this? I actually don't really need it. I have it as backup just in case my remote control or IR stops working or something. I purchased it from here: http://www.sonicelectronix.com but I see they also have them on eBay.

So I am thinking of mounting the galaxy tab in the front now. It's such a cool device, but I don't like reading in it anymore, I think the resolution is not enough, text is not that sharp, I keep hunting for the right zoom level. I got LCD Density from the market, increased the resolution to the level 210, I think, didn't work much.

But my question is, Samsung's composite cable/HDMI dongle does not charge the device (Amazon link)? I mean, in the Apple case, you have video out/stereo/usb for charging. In the pictures I've seen, there's no way to do that. You have to have a dock. Is that right? I really like to avoid having a t-shaped 3.5mm connected for aesthetic reasons...

I hear ya. I don't use my tab for reading but primarily music, internet and other multimedia so it works for me.

    Audio Upgrade

So now that (for the most part) my tab mount is complete. Time to work on the accessories and integrations (audio, security, etc).
I kinda have to start all over since my last car was totaled. I had all Alpine in my 2005 Altima also.

This one now has all stock components so its time to upgrade.

    Here are my plans...

Everyone has their preferences and I'm an Alpine fan and have been very happy with it. I will not be getting this all at once. I will probably start with the components and middle speakers and then get the rear, subs and amp.

    • Alpine 6 1/2 Component SPX-17PRO (Front speakers)
    • Alpine 6 1/2 SPR-60 (Middle speakers)
    • Alpine 6x9 SPR-69 (Rear speakers)
    • Alpine 10" Shallow Mount SWR-T10 Subwoofer x 2 (depending on how ambitious I get I may get 4 of these eventually but I will start with 2)

As far as amp goes I am still undecided. I am not going with Alpine for the amp. I will do some research and ask around on some suggestions for a decent amp (preferably one that has remote bass control). I may start looking at Kickers. I've heard good things about the kicker amps.

I went with a complete RE Audio setup "in my sig" and I have been extremely happy. I have never used their products before the the quality is great and the sound is very good. I have been really impressed with the SQ throughout the frequencies. I have never had 6.5's that sounded so clean and could punch such tight bass. They are also not nearly as expensive as some of the stuff you are looking at, but I wouldn't call them cheap either. Just my 2 cents

Coolio. Yea I had all this in my old car but they were older models. I'm actually purchasing mine through onlinecarstereo.com. Thats where I usually get my audio stuff if they have what I want. They're prices are nice.

Imma config another event in the tasker app on my tablet to text my Bionic when it receives my text to wakeup or timeout.
I should have configd that in the beginning. No biggie.

I'm going to make my youtube video demo today on my new mount.
