I'm still at it. So here are some more progress pics after some crazy sanding.
It's crazy how my mount keeps evolving.
So here are the latest pics...wow I forgot how strong the vapors are on this stuff. In any case, after some more sanding and paint I think ( I hope) I will be done with this phase.
Here are some final pics. I saw this flexible vinyl that can be used for interior and was thinking about trying that to cover the mount. It would be a fun experiment however this will do for now.
I know I haven't posted anything in a week or so but last week I celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary so that meant no project fun for me during that time
In any case, I have also been busy touching up my mount. I have been learning more on working with bondo for this type of project work. I'm almost there just trying to smooth out these imperfections. It's still cool and fun making the tablet appear inside of the dash.
200th times a charm..
Yet another round. Nice and smooth and it's currently being painted. I will also post later a demo of my LED ground signals.
Forgot to post the new pics of the LED strips. I replaced the LED bars with these strips. The output is smoother and much better than the bars I had installed.
I am planning a full CarPC build for my 06 Alti SER, what made you choose going with the Tablet in your new Altima, compared to the full PC you had in your 3rd gen?
hardware and work to mod, fab or build if continued with my carpc mini-itx build. Plus my everyday life is all about my smartphone and social app integrations. So the tab covers all of that.
There are more special automotive hardware built and available now with android compatibility so options are increasing for enhancing the tab use outside of just media... but the cool thing about these projects is regardless of whether its a carpc or tab you can make it as complex or simple according to your own requirements or likings. Everyones implementation is unique.
