Yeah yeah...we know. I still had the urge to record this brief vid.

you have done a great installation! Your work is one that made me decide to throw out of the window my old car stereo and put a tablet in my car :)
I'm setting up a removable installation and now I'm working on the dock. I bought the same tablet as you.
Awesome video and I agree, Car Home Ultra seems to be a great app for in-car use. The good thing is, with Android we are not stuck with a single interface/usage for the future! If something better comes out, we can remove one and install another one.
Well if you navigated through my monstrosity of thread you may have come across my post regarding installation of an IP cam inside my car. This is still my plan but I am thinking about also leveraging the front facing camera on my tablet. There are quite a few apps out there where you can use your camera much like an ip camera. You can have it record or capture based on motion and even send you an email of the captured media. There are apps that enable you to stream your camera's view from your desktop which is handy. My thoughts are applying this to some security features. I am playing around and testing a few apps out there to see which will work best for me.
With that in mind when I fab'd my tablet mount I made a decision to build over the front facing camera because I didn't really think it was necessary at the time. With that said...you guessed it, I will be making a new mount taking in consideration the front facing camera. Woohoo! more mod, fab and building fun! Just in time for the summer.
While I am going through that exercise I will also have the accessory battery (Optima Yellow Top) installation done as well.
Im curious I know you use tasker to text your phone to automate some actions. I'm wondering
how you can text to your tablet? Like my tablet doesn't have its own phone number if you know what I mean
Oh you will need that. I have a data plan with my tablet so it has its own number for data purposes. I can't make calls on it. However, the tasker app is cool enough that you could probably do something like send an email and have the tasker app respond based on the email subject but...if you say your tablet does not have a number then you probably dont have a data plan, correct? Do you plan on using internet via wifi?
Yeah I don't have a data plan on my tablet which is a kindle that I rooted . So yeah I just use it through wifi
I'll look to see if I can do it through email but for now I tried a texting app called HeyWire and I just have it for whenever I get
A hey wire notification the tablet automatically starts playing using my media player.
I tried using specific text commands but it doesn't notice them for some reason
