I wonder if you could post the names/links to components necessary for connecting the tablet to your speakers.

I would assume that would include:

    Mini-Amp
    Bluetooth Receiver??

Is there anything else? Did you need any sort of patch lead to connect the amp to your speakers or did you remove the factory harness?

I am moving to a Galaxy S3 in the near future but at present have an iPhone 4s, are you aware of anyway to integrate that into the solution in a way similar to tablet talk?

Thanks in advance for anything you can help with. I bought a Skoda Octavia VRS last week but it only has a 6 cd changer and I am fed up of changing CD's already.

Regarding the audio setup I would suppose that you would need an aftermarket kit but it wouldn't really be any different as if you were installing an aftermarket radio. It was my personal choice just to have a shop mess with cutting wires, connecting and mounting my amp. I did the rest. Regarding Tablettalk I cannot speak for apple. You may have to check with the developer of Tablettalk to see if they have an apple version because it needs to be installed on both devices.

    Tablettalk Automation Using Tasker

The developer of Tablettalk told me that there is something in the works for auto-connecting between the devices. This is kind of in place now but it essentially sleeps for a specfic interval then reconnects once BT device (phone or tablet) are detected again. The challenge is well what about those like me that leave the tablet on all the time so I can be away from my car for many hours like when at work, etc? So in the meantime I set up this logic using Tasker and Tablettalk.

    1. I turn on my car
    2. My Bluetooth receiver powers on
    3. Bluetooth receiver connects to my smartphone
    4. My smartphone sends a text to my tablet indicating that it's connected to the receiver
    5. My tablet receives the text and restarts the Tablettalk app
    6. My tablet sends a text to my smartphone that tablettalk has restarted
    7. My tablet detects and reconnects to my paired smartphone

I know this seems like a lot of steps but its happens within only a few secs. Its my way of rigging and automating the reconnection.

    Tablet Security using Snuko

There are tons of different levels of security you can use with your tablet. One level is the front end UI. When I drop my car off at a shop the first thing I do is time the display out. I have automation in place that does this but also starts the Snuko security app. This app puts a UI that requires a pin to access your tablet. It will eventually lock if incorrectly entered. I can also use this app to locate my tablet using GPS and remotely wipe (there are tons of other apps that do this as well). In fact, this app launches whenever I wake my display up.

Here is my screenshot. This is the link to Snuko on Google Play.

Now exactly which bluetooth receiver did you end up with?

I bought a galaxy tab 2... and I tested it in my home theater system with a minijack to rca cable and for some reason every time i click play/pause/next track or start another audio service the speakers get a "THUMP" no clue why its doing this... So Im thinking obviously a bluetooth receiver would get rid of this?

Well I am not using my with bluetooth because you can only have one device connected at one time (not to be confused with 'paired'). I chose to have my phone to be connected to the bluetooth and my tablet is connected through the jack.

I do not experience any popping or thumps. Try testing in your car if your stereo has an aux input. Some Car audio electronics have anti thump but not sure.

Are you saying that I cannot connect BT audio and OBD2 device simultaneously?
