The MiniTouch comes with a resistive touch screen. I replaced it with a capacitive touch screen because its super clear and doesnt have the glare in direct sunlight like the normal touch screen. With the 450 nit panel and capacitive touch, its by far the best screen setup I have had so far.
I bought the USB charger here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Car-Cigarette-Po...item4aab9595e8
Then I took an old Belkin USB printer cable and cut the type b connector off and soldered the wires directly to the contacts on the pcb board inside the charger. I removed all the componants off the pcb board except the actual pins from the usb connector and the resistor between the led. The led comes on when the usb port has power, so its nice having an indicator that the pc is running incase something goes wrong during hibernation.
Nice, clean install. I like the cig lighter mod. I never use mine, I should do the same.
Where did you purchase the Capacitive touch screen from?
By the way install looks great
From the mp3car member tftlcd_org or something very similar to that. If you check out the lcd section he posts regularly. Purchased through his ebay store.
Nice install. I love that usb cig adapter. I'm definitely getting one of those. I also used one of those amps in the past and I had no problems with it. I actually think it's a better alternative than those mini ones being offered on here.
Out of shear luck, the mini amp bolted right into the tire jack bracket like it was made to go there. So its totally hidden and I can still access it by opening the side panel in the trunk.
Would you post some pictures? I really like the MiniTouch (not a lilliput, so that's a big plus); and I've never seen it with a capacitive panel (I've seen a Xenarc, there's a video around here somewhere). So a capacitive touch fits, that's good to know.

The two pictures that are posted are the MiniTouch with capacitive upgrade. Both pictures are in direct sunlight. I dont have any pics without the capacitive touch for comparison.
I just ordered the multi touch capacitive from the same seller and will fit in a double din without any modification. So i have another brand new bybyte frame im going to install it in and just use a metra dash kit.
