Nice and clean install. I like the front cam.
Thanks. Front cam may help to park closer to the objects but the camera should be not reversed. By some reason I had dificulty to find it in local stores.
Hey, awesome CarPC! I'm wanting to make a similar install. I'm just curious whether or not you installed a CD/DVD Player? And if so, where did you decide to mount it?
Hi Chanus! There is no need in CD/DVD drive, because any music,videos or programs I can write to carpc via flash-drive with using USB hub. Anyway I can bought external USB DVD drive and use it when it will be needed.
Oh ok, that makes perfect sense. Thank you very much for the fast response!
Very, very nice! :)
Microsoft VX-2000 probably won't have enough resolution to record license plate numbers, would it?
I really like the idea of the amp and usb controls....any idea where one might get an american version of this?
Hi, your carpc came out great and looks like it was meant to be there.
I want to use this same display and would go the same route with removing the external casing but I am hesitant to buy since I don't know the panel size. I have 7.5'' x 5.25'' to work with and am worried that this will be too wide. The problem with mine is that I can't cut anything to gain more left/right room. Do you happen to know these dimensions?
Thanks.
Edit::
I found this link http://www.mp3car.com/lcd-display/14...imensions.html where someone says its 7.6inch x 4.6inch but didn't confirm.
That is a very clean install. Does anyone know where i can get that 2din trim piece in the States?
@Erix920:
Metra makes those kits. They are available through Amazon and eBay.
Here's a link. The center mount that holds the 7" screen is detachable, so it should be able to accommodate an 8" screen without a whole lot of remodeling...
