The project worklog is located here, however i've gone through too many hardware revisions so I decided to just create a new post, listing what I've done.

Everything wired together:
Installed and operating:
The reason I needed a USB Controlled Relay is to eliminated amplifier thump. I had to turn on the amp after the sound card is initialized. The way I did it was to wire the amp to the ACC circuit and also put the same ACC line to the Mute pin via USB Relay's NC connect. Basically, the amp turns on as soon as the car is on, but it starts off muted (so no pop). Once Windows boots up, I wrote a service that sends the On command to the relay, so NC connector becomes open, the Mute pin goes low and the amplifier unmutes.
Feel free to ask questions!
P.S. Many thanks to everyone that helped me along with this project, especially SoundMan - he's been following it from page 1 and offered a lot of valuable advice :)
