Out with the Pioneer, In With The Tablet (Build Log)

    Making a new thread...

    Head Unit - Acer A100 8GB
Front Components - Alpine SPS 610C
    Rear Speakers - Kenwood 6x9's
    Subwoofers - (2) Alpine 1243D
    Ported Enclosure
    Hifonics TXI6006
    Hifonics BXI 2008D
    EQ - Clarion EQS746
    Deka 9a34
    9" Flip Down Monitor
Custom Switch Panel (bass control knob, amp power, park brake switch, last one not being used)

    Switch Panel:
The former bass knob, will now become the tablet volume control. The tablet will output to the LC-1, then the LC-1 wil go to the input on the EQ. The first switch will continue it's function as the on/off for the bass amp. The second switch will be the power for the charger for the tablet (hopefully I'll automate it at some point). The third switch doesn't have a function just yet, but I'm sure it will as I continue with the build.

*all wires have been cleaned up (except the RCA's) as I haven't finished with them yet. Hopefully, I'll be getting the case that I'll be mounting in the dash area tomorrow. Everything (the ash tray, the shifter bezel, etc...) will be sanded and repainted after everything is in place and working correctly.

My sound system is ran like this:

Tablet 3.5mm headphone jack out >
Right angle 3.5mm male to female >
Belkin premium 3.5mm male to RCA males >
LC-1 volume control knob in >
    input on Clarion EQ >
output on EQ into amps >
amps out to speakers and subwoofers

What I'd like to do now is go wireless via bluetooth, but I've yet to find one reasonably priced that auto connects. I figure that will also kill my battery faster.

It's JetAudio Plus. I LOVE IT. I'm sure poweramp and the rest are good too, possibly better, but this one does everything I need it to do. The free version was so good, I decided to buy the app and I'd never purchased one before that.

It's a wifi only tablet, but I tethered my 4g from my phone to it and it works well. The only problem with that so far is that when it the 4g signal drops, I love my 4g hotspot connection and I have to manually restart it on my phone. I forgot to take pics of the velco on the back of the case and on the suede.

Did you figure out how to use that double din dash kit? Im trying to do my Magnum now but having the hardest time with mounting it. I rather it look like a aftermarket radio with the dash kit .

Hod did you mount the case to that panel?
