    Project Name: TypeIImp3
    Car: 1971 VW Bus
    Engine: 2L with ported and Polished Big Valve heads (44, 38), Mild cam and Porsche 914 highcompression 94mm pistons. CIS fuel injection and 911 style shroud upright conversion finishes off the engine.

    (actual bus may not be as modified ) Two year goal.

    Stereo Information: Panasonic headunit w/aux in. Pair of 6" pioneer speakers in door pockets. Soon to be overhauled for amps and subs as time permits.

    Carputer: Intel Pentium 233, 16mb EDO Ram, 1mb onboard video for 10.4" VGA LCD. Micro Firmware's ATA PRO FLASH card.
    Case: steel open concept
    Power: 300watt Inverter
    Storage:Master 2 gig OS, Slave 40gig music.
    Sound: 16Bit ISA soundblaster.

    Notes: right now a keyboard is used but in the plans is another faceplate hack from an old headunit similer to the one in my GTI (see older posts). Currantly i can only use WinAmp2x because of computer power. I'm also limited in displaying only 16 colours because of onboard video, so no movies or fancy eye candy. I also had to use a ATA PRO FLASH card from Micro Firmware, that way my Bios could see the 40 gig drive with no overlay software.
    GTI - Palm IIIe controlled with Radio faceplate hack for keyboard control of WinAmp w/ Vocal Genre playlist loading.
    VW Bus - 10.4" vga lcd. Loaded with same software as above.

    No inspired by this one NeedforSpeed.ca By the way he's pulling the 2.7L and puttin in a 3.6L... and yes it features a massive turbo.

    Yeah, that was the one I was thinking of. I need to steal that bus too . I've got the vids of it embarising sports cars kicking around my hdd.

    Gotta love the oldschool VW. Love anyone period. I got a trophy for a 73 SB I had back in the day. I won first place for best looking car. It was hella fun driving that car. Some day ill have another one.

    Excellent work on the screen. Now get an Epia, and some really beefy power going. then run GPS, no point in having a 120MPH bus, if it's 120MPH in the wrong direction.
    4x4 in a turbo stylee.
