Thats a VERY smooth install. I assume your planning on ducting the trunk muffin fan into your case for superior cooling? Nice intergration of the Cirque. Did you paint it or did it come that color?

Yeah.. I need to improve the cooling in the trunk, it got pretty hot after 1 hours of driving yesterday when it was 30C outside. I painted the case to match the console..

With the Filter Caps...Where did you get them or can you give me a link to figure out how to make them? I am getting alot of buzz coming out of my system from my 400 watt inverter. I appreciate your help 98_Prelude.

Did you try gounding the computer chassis to the car? It got rid of 100% of the buzz for me.

I got the parts from the local electronics store, you can also order from Digi-key. Get some 0.1uF non-polarized polyester cap and some HQ (high frequency) cap and connect them in parallel. Like ELEmental said, try grounding your computer case to ground, also remove the filter cap from the PSU. But for me, those cap really help to eliminate noises and interferences with other components, especially the LCD screen and the wireless mouse and keyboard that I had before.

That think pad is an awsome fit. I have the same car in white...and wanted to know if you had to mod it at all, cause it looks like a perfect fit to replace the lid. If you could give me the exact model number I would appreciate it, and thank you for te amazing idea. I had thought of them, but didnt want something that looked ghetto. peice

i've had my computer hooked up the aux of my head unit. i have a sony xplod cdx-m630 and the display doesn't move around when i have it on aux. it works when a cd or it's on tuner is on. did u do anything special or it just worked from the get go?

The fan I see in the picture. Is that blowing air in or taking it out?

I'm getting more comfortable with the idea of making one of these things.

Here are a couple of questions if you don't mind.

1. The key with the Power is to get a converter? I saw this one on ebay.

2. The connection to the battery is through the cigarette lighter or is it direct to the battery?

3. The GPS devise is just a USP connected to the computer and is a fairly low cost right?. I've been told GPS is $1000+ and I don't believe it.

Thanks for any info as I get this started. I've got a space for a touch pad like yours. Great idea.
