As far as GPS..ones you would buy in stores can go over a thousand. For a computer, it will be a USB port, and they arnt too bad. Smewhere between 50 and 100 for the reciever...plus the cost of the software...depending on what you go with.

All I did was remove the coin tray that was there, screw on a piece of plastic to support the touch pad at the bottom then use double sided tape to keep the pad in place. The model is EasyCat serial-ps2 http://www.cirque.com/products/serial-easy.html

What do you mean by "the display doesn't move around"?. Anyways, I didn't have to do anything, just plug in the rca cable, enable AUX in and it just works.

my car have an exhuast duct, near the rear bumper, I use that fan to push the hot air out thru that duct.

1.>well you can use converter or dc-dc inverter, but the latter is more expensive but a bit more efficient (less heat generated in your trunk or wherever you place the unit)

2.> I connect it directly to the battery (with a fuse) because the cig. socket wires are very small and will not handle the required current.

3.>I got the Delorme Earthmate USB for my system, its tiny and works pretty well. it cost me $129 US for the receiver and the software (map)

I like the idea of touch pad. Might as well use it in my (future) setup. (Of course, if u don't mind :) )
