modded the valve cover to expose cam gears. also turned it black to match my car. think i'm gonna do that with all the blue under the hood. so what if it's the color of an h22, I will always know I have an f20b.

Looks like you replaced your struts and added a strut tower brace too! How does she take corners now?

surprisingly well. cornering is and always will be the great advantage to fwd. especially with lsd. you just come up on a 90 degree turn at 40mph, and just before you turn you throw it into second and dump the clutch. it preloads the suspension and brings the motor up to 6k or above(well into it's powerband), you cut the wheel, and right at the apex of the turn, you floor the gas and the car shoots in the direction the front tires are facing. without ever touching the brake pedal. even with a good alignment and mostly new suspension, I do still go through front tires though. haven't had to replace the brake pads yet. lol.

it's only 200hp and 140tq, so I can't really get my kicks off of being thrown back in the seat and pure speed. but this powertrain was built by Honda specifically for a road course they wanted to enter in the 2.0L class. it was made to build all its power up high to reduce spinning the wheels coming out of a turn. It has all the strongest internals that came in any Honda h/f motor, and it just takes punishment. like when I try my turning trick going a little fast (60-70mph) and throwing into second revs the motor to almost 9,000 rpm. I haven't done this once or twice. unfortunately I have done this repeatedly. and it just takes it. under the valve cover there are girdles that go across all the cam caps for extra support, the same for the crank inside the oil pan. it's been a headache tuning a motor there is no information on and parts are unavailable for because it was never made or released here in the us. but I am so proud of my selection and the homework I did to reach that choice. at the junkyard, I regularly see a few h22 swapped Hondas with thrown rods and wrecked blocks. I am not saying f20b's don't fail. but I have not come across one yet. but they are also very rare.

my last screen had an accident. darn shame too. I paid over $300 for that screen 4 or 5 years back. lillyput high brightness hdmi input 7" touchscreen native 800x480res. I was proud of having it for a long time. but for the replacement, I found a native 1280x800 ips monitor with hdmi and 2 av inputs for only $72 on ebay. I have to buy the touch overlay separately but 4 wire resistive is only $24 and very clear, multi touch capacitive overlay is $120. I can not say enough good things about this monitor. also here are the results from my most recent round of a.s.e. testing. 8 patches, 8 titles, and 15 certifications.
