My Accord build carputer communicating with ecu REAL TIME TUNING
my build is a 1997 Honda accord. I swapped in an f20b motor and t2t4 lsd 5-speed trans. I got an aem ems-4 with full harness, aem uego inline wideband, aem epm(optical cam& crank sensors), aem fuel pressure regulator, complete led and hid bulb conversion, inside and out. and the carputer I built is running off of m4-atx 250watt dc-dc power supply and it is a j&w minix mini-itx mobo with amd 785g chipset, 2x4gb pc6400 ddr2 sodimms, athlon2 x4 640e 45watt cpu, intel x-25m 80gb ssd, msi radeon 6770 1gb gddr5 video card, lillyput 7" high brightness hdmi input touchscreen, xbox wireless receiver for controllers, and a few amps and a bazooka tube to drive the 5.1ch audio the motherboard natively supports. I also have 1080p webcam in car on dash, for video chat with the family back home via Skype. and the robust video card enables me to watch 16gb .mkv files at 1080p.
for real time or on the fly tuning, the aem ems-4 uses a usb connection and software called aemtuner. I have aemtuner set to load at windows startup, and can and do make adjustments to fuel and ignition maps, idle speed, etc. while on the highway. the hardest thing about my build is getting out of my car when I get to my destination. wether playing borderlands2, or chatting with the fam, or watching a hd movie with stunning audio, it is difficult to turn it all off after only enjoying it for the short distances I do.
