Is that what everyone is doing? I have a Mac PowerBook with a broken screen and wanted to put it in my car with a Xenarc attached. But If I won't be able to control iTunes etc. with my hands then it's pointless!Originally Posted by frodobaggins

My next generation Front End is right on schedule.
It will be done sometime in the next generation.
I'm a lesbian too.
I am for hire!
I can agree that touchscreens may be a little difficult to work with while bumping around on the road.Originally Posted by frodobaggins
But, if the application is well designed it shouldn't be too hard to poke the occasional confirmation, or to supplement most inputs with voice commands.
It sure beats reaching over to a keyboard or using a mouse!
A trackball would have lots of advantages in a car.
This past week I found 3 guys where I work that have gotten the UI thing down VERY well.
In fact, they are causing a minor uproar about what they have achieved in their spare time, compared to 75+ people that get paid to do this stuff!
That's about all I can say for now, but hopefully you will be hearing more about it (and there will be more to say) in the future.

The "small screen high res" problem would be solved by my co-worker's software.Originally Posted by eventmac

dude - if you want to drag, go to the track where its safe. There is nothing more stupid than street racing. The track is a crapload of fun. And you get time slip printouts.I found the perfect location for 2 car drags, I can't wait until I get my license.. My friend and I can have some awsome fun at 1AM.
Hey we all drive fast now and then - I've hit some monster speeds in my chipped A4, but when I want to race someone I do it in a controlled environment
I've added quite a few updates to my 350Z CarPC site.
Enjoy!

I'm glad someone said something. For once I am going to keep my mouth shut because I don't feel like getting kicked off the sight.Originally Posted by brrman
