Looking good...now all you need is a plexi cover for the glove box with a little cold cathode in there...![]()
After quite a few incarnations of a mobile system this is what I have now. The first 4 or 5 times the system was incredibly ugly and in the way (but functional). I guess now I kinda dig the 'stealth' look. My screen is in-dash (although Sony could have picked a better color for their hardware other than silver). The PC is in the glovebox. When the glovebox is closed, there's no way to see the computer anywhere in the car. I wish I still had some pics I could find of my system from 4 years ago. It stuck out in my car like a sore thumb.
...anyway...

Acutally, I thought about that. I was going to put plexi over the top and cut out a hole in the back of the glove box for an 80mm lighted case fan. I have 2 of them lying around from my last setup.

OK....is it just something messed up on my laptop or did all my pics I posted in this thread disappear? I'll post some smaller ones. Otherwise you can see all the pics at the url listed in my signature.

I see red X's on this page.
Nice amp/sub box (on cardomain.com)
Blazer Xtreme: The PITA MP3 Car.
240SX Fastback: SR20DET motor swap.
Thanks, whateverjames.
I liked it a little better when the enclosure held my old subs and computer with the lighted fans and plexi top, but I didn't really have a decent place to put my amp and I found that when I turned the volume up the subs would make the HDD skip.

where do you have your blaupunkt dvd-me1? Mine hangs along the top of the trunk, Im looking for a place to put it inside the cabin. And nice setup, definately add some cold cathodes in there.
Mine needs to be updated.
Thanks.
The Blaupunkt unit is just sitting on the floor behind and kinda under the passenger seat and facing the driver's side. It's out of the way enough to not be seen unless your looking for it and close enough so I can reach it while I'm driving. It's not the best place to have it, but the Blaupunkt is only a temporary thing. I'll be getting rid of it as soon as I can find a notebook DVD drive that I like.
