Humm, lame. Make it look cool if you are going to all that work, and I'm sure you can make it so that no one will see it, or not notice it at least. LCD customed into lower dash works here

You can get the remote on UK ebay. Do a search on ME forum and you will find it. Shipped to US, the seller asked 15 British Pounds.

I believe the civic person meant FORUM rather than FORM. I have no idea why he used form since he used it twice in two different posts.

The PC install is pretty slick. I have to give it to blurp on that but what killed it was the LCD sticking out. But it's not for us to comment because for Blurp, it is what he ultimately needs and finds useful. He should have choosen a different wording on the topic though. Something along the lines of stealth PC install (not the LCD)

If it's stuck, force it. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway

Here's where I got the remote, on Ebay.

You're right, I shoulda made the distinction about what I meant by stealth. The computer is hidden, the LCD is in plain view when it is up. When I take the monitor down, there's no sign of it anywhere. I also understand why people are going to criticize it. But it is exactly what I want. I can turn and angle the monitor any way that I want to. This is especially helpful when the sun is at a bad angle and glaring on the monitor. If it was molded in, I'd just have to live with the glare. I also remove the monitor at work every day. I figure that any one can put a box in the trunk or behind/under the seat. But if I wanted that, I would've used a full-sized box and saved about $1500. I spend at least 3 hours a day commuting to work, and I worked and thought long and hard about how I wanted it. So it doesn't bother me for others to criticize my work. Like I said, it's exactly what I want.
