Can't let Ronny take all the UK Glory. MPSAAB Coming up

OK, Since Ronny has been posting monster pics of his A4.
Lets see it for some of my Ancient Saab photos.

    Car is a 1985 Saab 900 T16s that I bought for 300
Unfortunatley I have probabley spent the best part of 1000 on brakes, tyres, wheel bearings and timing chains, and now I think the shocks are shock.
Still the car is too good to scrap, being a very early T16 with the Hairy scray cam profiles.

So far, I've done very little tuning to the car bar a cone filter.

but I have built in a Epia M10000 based system.

I used a 10.4" Taxan desktop LCD which uses a weird din plug 5/12 volt PSU, so it is still using the inverter and Full sized PSU, as the 150watt Mini ATX one I bought from LinATX burnt out in 10 minutes.

I had to widen the console quite a bit to get in the screen.

I used the original console, cut up, and then re-inforced with body repair mesh, and fibreglass filler paste, then skimmed over in filler, with an MDF centre block housing the screen.

I then fitted a touch screen from Armin at DigitalWW

In the box behind the screen I've fitted the Epia, the PSU and the HDD, plus the controller for the Wireless Logitech Keyboard, and all the USB cables, including those for the touch screen, and the USB Deluo GPS that sits on Velcro on the dash just below the license disk.

Took these next photos one morning before leaving for work.

As you can see the screen is nice and readable.
Thats Mappoint 2002 with AGPS giving me nice voice and on screen direction prompts.

    And

    4AM Music console in 640x480.

Just need to work out why MediaEngine 2.0 won't operate the Volume on My PC and I'll switch to using that instead.

Also the plan is to make a fibreglass mold of the Box behind the screen, widen that to match the screen/console surround, and make them bolted together, so for repairs it can all be pulled out together.

Also it will tidy things out when looking from the passenger side.

Used to have a White Favorit, but stopped driving that nearly a year ago.

Love the Saab now, and would love an old Rapid or Estelle 130GL as a project car.

Buggered me screen at the moment. I think I shorted the controller out.
Been pricing up for a new one.

Very Tidy. I like the screen install.

BTW, I've tidied the back of the centre console up on mine a little, so that it now fits against the passenger side of the screen. Still needs more work but getting there. My first job though is to find a decent controller for the screen and get that back to working.

BTW, did you see the review of Ronny's car in PC Format?
If you dig out his details and PM him, I'm sure he would mail you the PDF of the article.
