Hi All,

Just thought i would post my first pictures of my screen fitted.

As you can see i went for the 'removable' style installation as i did not want it to be stolen also did not want to do any damage to the car as i will be changing it next year.

Pictures do not give the screen justice as they were taken at night and my camera is not that great!

Currently running an IBM Thinkpad laptop in the boot at the mo but will be changing this once the weather gets a bit better and allows me to do it without getting soaked!

Another thing how do you all post pictures in the message screen instead of attachments!!

Any comments???

Looks good! I'm trying to do a similar thing myself... Heres a few quick questions:

Is that a xenarc screen?
How have you got the screen secured?
Do you find it wobbles at all when you go over bumps?
(I'm having probs with this at the moment, but I'm using a heavy 10" screen)

Hi,

Nope it's a Liliput from cartft.com.

I am using a quick release bracket from a VDO navigation screen sourced from my local car audio shop.

Screen does not 'wobble' at all i am very pleased with it.

Looks very cool.

I have ordered the same monitor, but have not recieved it yet. Is the 'removable' style out-of-the-box, or did you get a custom holder?

The cool thing with MB is that the battery is in the trunk already, so the high amp wires are already there

I am also running the factory radio. I wonder if it is possible to hook the audio up to the 'telephone phone' input somehow.

Thanx... I'll have to look into those quick release brackets sometime... Hopefully I'll find one suitable for a 1kg screen.

Hi,

Nope the bracket in the box is a fixed version (you could remove by just releasing the nut on the back but you will find the nut will keep falling off)

Yea it's very handy that the battery is in the boot for wiring especially with amps for audio!!

Factory radio will not work as the "telephone input" is just a mute for a carphone kit, you will need a HU with an input of some sort.
