I know it's been done before, but here's my stealth screen. It's a Lilliput XGA touchscreen mounted in my double DIN slot, with a removable fascia (that was my old OEM head unit).

Stealth Screen Video
The screen is actually inset about 2 inches behind the dash. This wasn't by design, just that without hacking the dash internally quite seriously this was as far forward as it can get. On the up side though, it keeps the sun off it, and I can get to the power and control buttons!
The only thing I need to do now really is make the screen mounting look slightly tidier, instead of screws showing everywhere ;)
