Just fitted my Lilliput in the Center Consol

Well, at long last it's time to install my CarPC. Managed to find a JDM Double-Din audio center consol (Very Rare here in the UK) and have fitted my Lilliput into it. The screen will be going in in the morning and the reast will be fitted Monday as I need to get a Kenwood adapter so I can use the cd changer plug as Aux. Sound in.

How does it look so far:

I may fit the power buttons and LED's into the brushed Aluminium bit below the screen but I'm not too sure yet....

Nearly there..

Those optional audio consoles are rare... EVERYWHERE! It looks awesome though... that's probably exactly what I'm gonna do when I get money.

Noodles, I came across this consol in a local scrap yard, seemed that someone had ripped it out to get to something behind it...I got it in about 4 bits then patiently put it all back together and sprayed it black to match my VTi interior. Can't complain though, it only cost me £5.00 for the whole lot, The main surround, all brackets, the cage and screws etc. I have come across a few that are for Left hand drive cars, but finding these Jap righthand side versions is quite difficult. I have seen tham on ebay for as much as £150.00...

I have managed to get the consol fitted in my car this morning, ready for a local Honda meeting and will get some piccies up of the installed screen either tonight or in the morning.

WOW! £5.00?? If you happen to run into another one left or right hand drive... I'll buy it from you. I'm not interested in the EDM console though.

Yup that'll be me...

Honda-R username the same as mp3car one...

Nope no probs with gearstick.

Mr Noodles, will keep me eye out for ya, if I can find one I will let ya know mate..

Thanks for the comments guys, just decided to ditch the system I got in favour of a Shuttle system. Should be all fitted and working by Thursday - I hope..
