My version of the Car Computer
Been reading and learning here at the forum for the last five or six months. Finally joined in September. Thanks to you all, my car computer lives. I appreciate all the advise you guys give. While I don't post much, I do sort of sit in the background and see what everyone else is doing, what works, and what doesn't. The system I've put together came from some of my own ideas on what I wanted, and some ideas I picked up here. I am about 75% done with my project. Still have to finish the console, side of the control panel, and purchase the GPS, but, it does work. Look thru my website which documents most of the build and install, and let me know what you think. Hopefully I will have the remaining "build" finished in the next few weeks.
Lilliput bracket and mounting set up
Here are a couple of shots that you requested. Hope these help. The bracket assembly has a screw with a thumb knob to attach the monitor. Thumb screw has a retainer so it won't fall out of the bracket. Then there is a small square "nut" that is screwed onto the thumb screw. The monitor has a built in slot that just slides down over the square nut. When you tighten the thumb screw it locks the monitor down. The bracket gives you some adjustability as far as up down and you can adjust the right to left "level" of the monitor depending upon where you tighten it down. Hope this helped.
