Is where I bought mine from (version 1.0)
Don't let them bully you into a "a proper powersupply with shutdown controller". I too use an inverter and a standard power supply. Much cheaper, and never have any voltage regulation problems. Plus, as an added bonus, I can run christmas lights to be festive if I want... I don't, cuz I'm the grinch, but I could.you really should look into a smaller case though

I wasnt bullying him into anything. I was just sayin he should look into those things![]()
I started out with an inverter and an AC power suply. What sealed the deal on the switch was I get 15% better battery life for not doing the dc-ac-dc.
YOu're running a 14" screen jack? holly mother of god! And I thought I was crazy with the 10.4"!
Yep, Viewsonic VP140 with ELO touch system factory installed. It used to be used at the radio station where I work. They were going to ship it back as part of a new purchase, but since the RMA said 14" monitor, that is what I sent. Kept the LCD w/touch for myself. The problem is that it's so big there is no good place to mount it, so it kinda gets tossed about.
As far as battery life, I've never had a problem, I run 3 full size car batteries all in parallel. I used to do some low end car audio competition (before stuff was stolen) and the batteries are still there.
