Ohhh...The plywood is actually glued to the sides of the front bezel, and I made a small fillet between the two with filler. Then I skinned over the wood with filler too. And yes, the PC came back to life thanks to safe mode and Robiewp!

where are you putting the actual computer itself?

In one of the pictures there are 2 pieces one with the dvd drive and one without, did you buy extra so you could just replace the ones you started with in case?

you gave me great ideas with that bottom dvd drive. I'm gonna keep an eye on your work closely seeing as how we both have altimas.

Yes, I bought an entire black center console with that piece used for $85. If for any reason I ever sell the car I can sell it stock, and sell the CarPC conversions separately to recover more of my investment. The plastic pieces are fairly reasonably priced new, but almost every wrecked car still has an intact interior. Try to buy them used.

I'm going to try to mount the laptop parallel to the inside of the glovebox door, and on small drawer slides. When you open the glovebox, it will sit horizontal so I can burn Cds (It has a CDRom and a CDRW). It will also be able to slide forward so that the screen can be flipped open and clear the dash. Hope this works!!!

Sorry I accidentally deleted all those pics. I re-uploaded the ones you need and updated the pic posts.
